2. Join or Host a Twitter Chat
Lawyers can join or host a Twitter Chat to increase engagement. Twitter Chats are unique public conversations held between Twitter users by a specialized hashtag. The hashtag refers to the topic of discussion. The hashtag allows others users to give feedback. A business lawyer may want to host a Twitter Chat discussing the legal aspects of starting a company. If you are not ready to host a Twitter Chat, I recommend you join one. Reach out to your followers to see which Twitter Chats they engage in.
3. Ask Your Community for Retweets
Ask your community for Retweets to increase your Twitter engagement. Asking for a Retweet increases the amount of exposure you receive. You can ask your followers to Retweet your tweet to show agreement with your statement. Insert your request to be “Retweeted” at the beginning of the Tweet. Also, spell out the word “Retweet” to increase engagement.
4. Ask Your Community for a Reply
If you truly want to increase your Twitter engagement, I suggest you ask your community for replies to your Tweets. Pose a question that will motivate your followers to converse with you. Twitter recently introduced Twitter Polls. Twitter Polls allow users to create polls and allow their followers to weigh in on topics that spark their interest. Use Twitter Polls to get feedback from your followers. The result of the polls can lead to increased conversations with your followers.
5. Participate in Daily Trends
Participate in daily trends to increase your Twitter engagement. Here is a list of daily trends I am aware of:
1. Monday – #MeatlessMonday
2. Tuesday – #TravelTuesday
3. Wednesday – #WineWednesday
4. Thursday – #ThrowbackThursday
5. Friday – #FlashbackFriday
Sharing relevant content on Twitter will help you generate user engagement.
Please share this article with other lawyers who are looking to increase their Twitter engagement. I hope you found the tips above helpful.
